Pro Tip: Pet therapy has been shown in many studies to reduce stress, blood pressure, and agitation. Plus the act of petting an animal is good for motor skills.

August is great time to think about foot care. If you're looking for a meaningful activity to do with someone who has memory loss, then try giving them a pedicure at home! Soak their feet in warm water with a small amount of bath oil, massage their feet, and trim their toenails. Pro Tip: Many older people with diabetes or heart issues are at a high risk of developing wounds on their feet, so make sure to check them often.
