The Farmers Market

September is Healthy Aging Month and a good way to celebrate with a person who has dementia is to visit a farmer's market together and pick out healthy vegetables and fruits! If getting out is too difficult, then involve your loved one in preparing a healthy meal together. Pro Tip: People with dementia may struggle to eat nutritious foods, so try offering smoothies made with fruits, vegetables, and Greek yogurt.
